Terms & Conditions

Last updated [date]. Please read these terms before using the App.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to anyone given a login to the Montel Co & PL Shift Alerts app ("the App"), operated by Montel Co & PL, ABN [ABN] ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to these terms.

2. Who may use the App

Access is limited to the business owner and people authorised by us. You must keep your login details secure, not share your account, and tell us immediately at [contact email] if you think your account has been misused.

3. Acceptable use

Use the App only to notify staff of rostered shifts and related work matters. Do not send marketing, offensive, unlawful or misleading messages, and do not text anyone who has not agreed to receive work messages or who has asked to stop.

4. Staff personal information

Staff names and mobile numbers are personal information. Only add details of people who work with the business and have agreed to receive shift texts. Keep details accurate, use them only for rostering, and remove people who leave the business (the "Left business" status permanently deletes their details). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our privacy policy at [privacy policy link].

5. SMS costs

Texts are sent through a third-party SMS provider and each message (and each 160-character segment) is charged. Cost estimates shown in the App are a guide only; the provider's invoice is final. The business is responsible for all SMS charges incurred by its users, including automatic sends.

6. Delivery

We rely on mobile networks and our SMS provider, so we cannot guarantee every message is delivered or delivered on time. Check the Delivery Summary and follow up directly with staff where it matters.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the App available but it may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may update the App or these terms; continued use means you accept the updated terms.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for any indirect loss, missed shifts or costs arising from use of the App or failed message delivery.

9. Ending access

We may suspend or remove access if these terms are breached or a user no longer works with the business.
